The Giuseppe Ferlendis International Competition and the Luca Figaroli International Competition, conceived by the Gruppo Ricerca Storica in 2004, aim to enhance the figure of Giuseppe Ferlendis, oboist of the second half of the eighteenth century, originally from Adrara San Martino and to remember Luca Figaroli, a promising young oboist who died prematurely.
This year the Ferlendis Association dedicates the "Giuseppe Ferlendis" prize to Salvatore Tancredi, friend, creator and producer of the International Oboe Competition, who passed away 7 years ago.
The competitions will take place in Adrara San Martino (Bg):
a) XI International Competition “G. Ferlendis” from 25 to 27 September 2026
b) VIII International Competition for Young Oboists “L. Figaroli” from 26 to 27 September 2026
The 11th International “G. Ferlendis” Competition is reserved for oboists born after January 1st 1991.
The 10th International “G. Ferlendis” Competition is reserved for oboists born after January 1st 1989.
- Category A: born after January 1st 2011
- Category B: born between 1st January 2008 and 31st December 2010
- Category C: born between 1st January 2005 and 31st December 2007.
The registration fee € 80.00 for the X International Competition "G. Ferlendis" and € 50.00 for the VII International Competition for Young Oboists "L. Figaroli" should be paid by bank transfer to:

Applications must be submitted by completing the form (attached to these regulations) with all required information. The following must also be attached:
a) birth certificate on plain paper or copy of a non-expired identity document
b) copy of the bank transfer made
c) signed privacy form
d) list of pieces chosen to be performed during the Competition
Complete applications, along with the required documentation, must be submitted by August 31, 2026.

The judgement of the Selection Board is final, unquestionable and unchallengeable.
f a candidate is a pupil of a member of the Jury, the member will abstain from voting.
On the day of the Competition, competitors must present a valid identity document and the programme of the chosen pieces to the judging panel.
The Jury reserves the right to shorten the duration of the performance.
The Competition Organizers will provide accompanying pianists Maestro Luca De Gregorio and Maestro Mary Fujino to competitors who do not have them. The piano will be tuned to 442 Hz.
The candidates admitted to the final round will have the opportunity to try with the accompanying pianist.
Winners will be required to attend the final concert free of charge, subject to exclusion from the prizes, after which the awards ceremony will be held. Concert attire is mandatory.
Recording by competitors or by the public in the auditorium are not allowed.
In the event of radio and/or television recordings carried out by the Organization, competitors will not be able to request any compensation.
The organization reserves the right to make any changes to this announcement or cancel all or part of the competition if circumstances beyond its control prevent it from taking place. In this case, any contributions already paid will be refunded.
The order of execution will be determined by the letter drawn and then in alphabetical order. Everything will take place in the days following the registration deadline, which is published on the website.
Pursuant to Legislative Decree 196/2003, the Historical Research Group – Ferlendis Musical Association informs that the data provided upon registration will be stored and used exclusively for the purpose of sending communications relating to the Association itself.
Accommodation expenses are the responsibility of the competitors.
Each participant may only enter one competition. Registration may be made for a higher category than their own.

In the rooms adjacent to the theater, during the event, the Marchi company will set up a stand displaying oboes from the best brands and offering the possibility of a free check-up on the instruments.
Registration for the Competition will be considered valid only after receipt of payment of the registration fee.
For any dispute, the Court of Bergamo will have jurisdiction.
The competition notice in Italian is authoritative.
